2018 Summary of Results
- 61 trials between 2/15, 2/20, 2/22, and 2/24/2018
- 600 students from 29 high schools participated in the San Diego County Competition (30 teams had registered)
- 4 rounds of competition. Each team competed twice – both prosecution and defense
- 56 state and federal trial judges, magistrates, and commissioners presiding over 61 trials (some presided twice)
- 62 attorney coaches volunteered
- 190 attorney scorers volunteered to score the 4 rounds of the Competition and the Championship round
- 65 courtroom monitors volunteered including JusticeCorps students, law students, and paralegals from the San Diego Paralegal Association
- Scripps Ranch High School went on to compete in the Finals of the 37th Annual California State High School Mock Trial Competition in Orange County on March 16-18, 2018
- Kristin Rayder, Scripps Ranch High School, was named the Adult Advocate of the Year at the Finals of the 37th Annual California State High School Mock Trial Competition
- Dima Musa, Scripps Ranch High School, was named the Outstanding Bailiff at the Finals of the 37th Annual California Mock Trial Competition
