The Bishops School finished in First Place in the 9th Annual San Diego High School Mock Trial Competition that concluded on February 28, 2015.
2014-2015 Summary of Results
- 53 trials between 2/19, 2/24, 2/26, and 2/28/2015
- 440 students from 25 high schools participated in the San Diego County Competition (28 teams had registered)
- Up from 4 initial schools in 2007
- Up from 19 schools in 2013
- 4 rounds of competition. Each team competed twice – both prosecution and defense
- 49 state and federal trial judges, magistrates, and commissioners presiding over 53 trials (some presided twice)
- 67 attorney coaches volunteered
- 177 attorney scorers volunteered to score the 4 rounds of the Competition and the Championship round
- 57 courtroom monitors volunteered including JusticeCorps students, law students, and paralegals from the San Diego Paralegal Association
- The Bishops School went on to compete and win 3rd Place in the Finals of the California State High School Mock Trial Competition in Riverside on March 20-22, 2015
